New ‘Get Together’ Expansion Pack For ‘The Sims 4’ Announced At Gamescom

With a new stuff pack filled with kitchen accessories coming later this month and regular free updates that add new features to the game, it seems like there is always something new to discover in The Sims 4. Now players have another expansion pack to anticipate with the announcement of “Get Together” at Gamescom.

As the second expansion pack to release for The Sims 4, “Get Together” focuses on a new world and bringing Sims together with impromptu parties, the new Club venue mechanic, and new skills. When “Get Together” launches in November, players will be able to discover the new world of Windenburg; an area containing ancient ruins and even a hedge maze.

“Discover the beautiful world of Windenburg! Explore its scenic neighborhoods including the charming traditional countryside, bustling town square, ultra-modern business district, and exclusive private island.”

The diverse setting of the new world also means players will have a chance to meet new Sims and work on their new skills; DJ and dancing. Both new skills coming to The Sims 4 will help any Sim become the life of the party by choosing the perfect music to mix or starting the latest, hypnotic dance craze.

“Take the party to the next level with new DJ & dancing skills. Pump up the crowd by creating the perfect mix in the DJ booth, then jump on the dance floor and show off all new dance moves.”

Bonfires, new WooHoo locations, and walk-in closets are just a few more of the features coming to The Sims 4 in the “Get Together” expansion pack. Like the first expansion pack, “Get to Work,” players can expect a $39.99 price tag with pre-orders available now on Origin.

“Get Together” joins “Get to Work” as the second expansion pack to The Sims 4. Like all of the game’s downloadable content, it is completely optional. Players that have yet to pick up “Get to Work” should note that the expansion pack that released in March is currently 30 percent off via Origin making it just $27.99. Even The Sims 4 base client is currently discounted by 40 percent right now, likely to celebrate the “Get Together” announcement.

A number of other packs are also available for players to buy for The Sims 4. The recently released “Spa Day” game pack adds a new venue and the wellness skill to the game alongside new items. Stuff packs like “Cool Kitchen Stuff” and “Perfect Patio Stuff” are also available that give players several new build options and items.
