New Stuff Pack ‘Cool Kitchen Stuff’ Coming To ‘The Sims 4’ In August

On August 11, Sims will be able to further customize their kitchens with new appliances, new furniture, and, hopefully, new clutter. Alongside the release of the “Cool Kitchen Stuff” pack, The Sims 4 will finally include dishwashers. That is one appliance definitely missed from previous entries of the series, and luckily, they will be added to the game without the purchase of “Cool Kitchen Stuff” in a free update on the same day the stuff pack releases.

With the “Cool Kitchen Stuff” pack in The Sims 4, players can expect to remodel many kitchens with new cabinets, frosted glass doors, stainless steel appliances, and other modern furnishings. Aside from remodeling Sims’ kitchens with new, shiny appliances and trendy cabinets, Sims will now be able to enjoy an Ice Cream Maker. This new appliance lets Sims create ice cream, soft serve, or even gelato. These tasty treats can even be coated with a variety of toppings with over 30 flavors to uncover. These scrumptious sweets also have a chance to give Sims in The Sims 4 “unusual abilities.”

Last month a new game pack released that let Sims enjoy a new spa venue, level up their wellness statistic, and master yoga. With the “Spa Day” game pack, Sims can do all of these things and more. “Spa Day” is a game pack while “Cool Kitchen Stuff” is a stuff pack. These DLCs differ in that game packs include a new mechanic for Sims while stuff packs contain a plethora of items.

All stuff packs, including “Cool Kitchen Stuff,” are priced to move for $9.99 each. “Perfect Patio Stuff” and “Luxury Party Stuff” are also available to purchase. The former includes items to create the perfect deck, especially if your Sims want a hot tub. The latter is comprised of formal outfits and all the items needed to throw an elegant party. Players looking for even more options in The Sims 4 can purchase game packs, like “Spa Day” and “Outdoor Retreat,” for $19.99 and the only expansion currently available, “Get to Work,” for $39.99.

Of course, none of these of packs are required to enjoy The Sims 4 and crucial features, like the addition of dishwashers, are often added to the game through free updates. Other free updates to The Sims 4 include the addition of Newcrest; a new map with three neighborhoods including 15 open lots, the option to lock doors, and construct partial walls in a variety of heights.
