WWE Rumors: Major Match With Huge Stipulation All But Confirmed For ‘SummerSlam’

Up until tonight’s Monday Night Raw, only one match was set and confirmed for SummerSlam, which takes place in less than three weeks. Halfway through the show tonight, another match is all but confirmed, and it includes a huge stipulation that will have two titles on the line. John Cena may not have been there to accept, but Seth Rollins challenged him to a match for the WWE World Heavyweight and United States titles.

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar are the only two with a match at SummerSlam, but Seth Rollins really got things going to open Raw. He came out to start the show and acknowledged that Cena wasn’t there tonight, and it was because Rollins broke his nose last week.

Cena had emergency surgery on Tuesday and was pulled from all WWE events for the next two weeks.

Rollins came out to start Raw and had on an awesome shirt that mocked Cena in a number of ways. On one side, it says “Never Shuts Up” which makes fun of Cena’s “Never Give Up” saying. On the other side, it says “U Can’t See Knee” and it is incredible.

It’s even up on WWE Shop and ready for purchase already too.

After talking about enjoying breaking Cena’s nose, Rollins says it’s time for a “Winner Takes All” match at SummerSlam. The winner of the match will take become the first person to hold both the WWE World Heavyweight and United States championships at the same time.

Once he challenges John Cena and awaits his response, whenever that may come, Rollins issues an open challenge for the WWE Title. There are some stipulations, but Neville meets them and puts on a great opener which Rollins ends up winning.

Still, it was a match that put Neville over huge and shows he can hold his own with anyone.

Rumor had it that John Cena, the United States champion, would be out indefinitely and could possibly miss SummerSlam. Well, with Rollins starting things off tonight in a big way with his challenge, it appears as if Cena will be ready to go in a few weeks.

Unless there is a major setback with John Cena, it looks like that will be the WWE Title match at SummerSlam. That takes any rumors of Sting replacing him against Seth Rollins and throws them out the window.

After weeks of having just one scheduled and confirmed match for WWE SummerSlam, a second match isn’t confirmed but pretty much locked in place. John Cena and Seth Rollins will battle it out again and with the stipulation of “Winner Takes All” for two titles.
