Iran May Be On Its Last Strike [The Iranian threat]

This time Iran may be on its last strike. The Western world is presenting a unified front that the six party talks taking place in Baghdad at the end of the month may yield a diplomatic solution to the question of Iran’s nuclear program. But at the same time it looks like Israel and the US are preparing for the advent that the talks fail.

It is no secret that in America there will be election held next November. The Presidency is up for grabs and so is the entire House of Representatives. The Senate may see a shift in power as well. Now Israel has thrown its hands into the ring with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calling early elections for September of this year.

It seems as if Israel and America are preparing to set the political stage for an attack on Iran in the advent that the talks fail. Polls show Netanyahu with a commanding lead over all his rivals and President Obama has to fend off a challenge from Republican Mitt Romney (who claims to be a hawk on Iran).

America has been busy beefing up its forces around the Persian Gulf for months. Israel Intelligence website Debka wrote that American F-22 Raptors have been moved into the Middle East to join the unprecedented three Aircraft Carrier Battle Groups already in the Gulf and the Mediterranean.

Israel has been conducting war games all along its borders to prepare for action on any front during an attack on Iran’s nuclear programs. They have positioned the Iron Dome anti-missile batteries all around the country to intercept terrorists ready to attack if Iran says so.

Will the elections seal Iran’s fate? It seems as if that choice is up to Iranians at this point.
