Clash of Clans update time hit again Friday morning (July 31). This latest Clash of Clans update didn’t take too long, as Supercell did some quick maintenance on the game to celebrate the third year since its inception. Taking to the Twitter page established for game notes and updates, a message was posted to users. It is something that users are going to enjoy taking advantage of through the week.

The maintenance that was referenced didn’t take very long, and the game is up and running again. Sometimes it can be frustrating when Supercell takes down the platform to do some maintenance, but this time there was a nice surprise waiting for the game users. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , the last major game updates included the addition of a new spell factory using dark elixir. With this new boost, users will be able to take full advantage of accrued dark elixir at double the speed.
In the news and settings section, a message to all users was posted following this Clash of Clans update.
“ Clash of Clans is three years old! You can now boost all your resource collectors for one week for only one gem each until August 7th!”
Taking advantage of the latest gem boost, users with a level nine Town Hall can spend a total of 14 gems to double production in six gold mines, six elixir collectors, and two dark elixir drills. The advanced users with a level nine Town Hall will need just 17 gems to double the production of their seven gold mines, seven elixir collectors, and three dark elixir drills. Once the gems have been spent to begin the boost, the seven-day clock begins on each of the collectors, signifying how long the doubled production is going to last.
Many game users are already using the Supercell message boards to talk about the gem boost. Some users are even discussing how the latest update gives eight days with which to start taking advantage of the increased resource collections rates. It could possibly mean that users can take advantage of it twice, unless the chance to take advantage of the boost actually comes to an end on midnight of Aug. 6. Either way, this Clash of Clans update is going to make a lot of users looking to build up their bases very happy.
