Angelle Marie Massion Shouts N-Word At Black Mom And Kids: Raquel Bolton’s Video Goes Viral [Video]
Those who know Chicago’s famous Oak Street Beach at the end of the Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue often associate it with beauty and fun. There are also often crowds at Oak Street Beach on lovely summer days, and it was during one of the days whereby Raquel Bolton grabbed her cell phone to record Angelle Marie Massion, as reported by the Frisky, going off on a rant and hurling the N-word at Bolton and her children.

According to Bolton’s Facebook page, Facebook actually removed Raquel’s original video, perhaps because she’d written the actual N-word in her description of the incident. That’s when Bolton uploaded the video to YouTube, and it has quickly grown from 6,000 to more than 20,000 views within hours on YouTube as news spreads of the incident.
Prior to allegedly getting splashed by Bolton’s children, Angelle was seen in the above photo, sitting right at the edge of the water. With her rear end literally in Lake Michigan, Massion’s claims of getting splashed are being met with derision. As seen in the photo, Angelle is already sitting at a spot in the water that would make it likely that she’d get wet. Folks are noting that Angelle has sand on her rear end as she stands and walks away from Bolton in the video.
Meanwhile Raquel described what she says happened right before she began recording her now famous video.
“While at the beach #oakstreetbeach this lady called us the N-word three times in front of my children all because they splashed water on her. I asked her to stop yelling at the kids and said I’ll call the police. She walked in my face twice yes I could’ve reacted but I didn’t. Yes I thought this lady was going to spit or put hands on me first because that’s how angry she was….here’s her response.”
The Chicagoist notes that Angelle’s N-word hurling starts as soon as Raquel starts recording. Massion also insults the intelligence of Raquel by claiming that Bolton never graduated from school and that she doesn’t understand free speech. Commentators on YouTube however, are calling Angelle’s use of the N-word in that manner hate speech instead of free speech.
“Of course you haven’t graduated and you don’t know the Constitution of the United States and what it says.”
“Of what? That you could just walk around calling somebody a [N-word]?”
“Yes, it’s called free speech in America. Right to free speech. Look it up.”
