Ben Higgins Cracks Joke About Being Next Bachelor, Says Kaitlyn Bristowe And Shawn Booth Are Perfect Together

Ben Higgins thinks that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are perfect together. After the season finale of The Bachelorette aired, showing that Kaitlyn chose Shawn over Nick Viall and got engaged to Shawn, Ben tweeted congrats to Kaitlyn and Shawn.

Ben, who was the third runner-up behind Nick and Shawn, cracked a joke about Shawn’s hair being perfect the entire time. He added the hashtag “PerfectTogether” to his message.

Despite competing together for the same girl, Ben and Shawn forged a friendship on the show and have remained friends. On the live After the Final Rose special after the season finale, Shawn denied that his hatred for Nick was because of jealousy. Shawn pointed out that he became great friends with some of the other men on the show who had strong connections with Kaitlyn, such as Ben. Shawn said that he and Ben had great conversations every night of the competition and continue to be great friends.

Prior to the season finale, Shawn thanked Ben, as well as Jared Haibon, Ben Zorn, and Chris “Cupcake” Strandburg, for their support. They had told E! News, when they were all in Los Angeles for the Men Tell All special, that they think that Shawn, and not Nick, is the man for Kaitlyn.

Now that The Bachelorette is over, will viewers again see Ben Higgins on TV, this time as the person who hands out the red roses? As the season finale aired, Us Weekly reported that Ben, along with Ben Zorn, are both front runners for The Bachelor. Host Chris Harrison admitted that it’s a possibility that viewers will see both Bens next season.

“Never say never. Because after we did it the first time with two Bachelors back with Byron Velvick, I think we literally said we will never do this again…You know, it — I didn’t think it was a bad idea. When [Bachelor creator] Mike Fleiss called me and brought up the idea of having Britt and Kaitlyn, I just reminded him the difficulties of doing that production-wise… It was a brutal task to pull that off. But it made sense because so many people wanted both of them.”

Both Bens have told Us Weekly that they are open to the possibility of being the star of The Bachelor. Yet while Ben Z., who admitted that he turned down the spin-off Bachelor in Paradise, was enthusiastic about the opportunity, Ben H. said that to do the show twice “would be really hard.”

Although the two Bens’ enthusiasm for The Bachelor gig differs, they are both happy for Kaityn Bristowe and Shawn Booth. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Ben Z. also congratulated Kaitlyn and Shawn on their engagement.

If Ben Higgins does become the Bachelor, viewers may get to see more of his humor. In response to someone who tweeted that the current season seemed like just a warm up for Ben H.’s season of The Bachelor, Ben cracked another joke.
