Bobbi Kristina Brown: Medical Examiner Releases Details About Impending Autopsy, Possible Investigative ‘Complications’
On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown – the only child of singer Bobby Brown and the late, legendary Whitney Houston – passed away at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA. The 22-year-old’s untimely death comes nearly six months after she was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub inside her Roswell, GA townhome.
“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months,” Kristen Foster, a representative for the Houston family said in a statement.

Now, it has been reported that a full investigation is underway. As previously reported on Inquisitr, the investigation targeting Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is gradually picking up steam, but a number of other investigative measures must be followed in order to build a substantial case to support the allegations.
According to ABC News, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has scheduled an autopsy for Bobbi Kristina. On Monday, July 27, the coroner’s office released a statement about the impending autopsy, which will be performed to reconstruct the series of events that may have led to her death. Although autopsies are routine procedures in cases where there is speculation of foul play, Bobbi Kristina’s case will actually be a bit more complicated than most due to the extended amount of time she’s been unresponsive. The medical examiner’s office has made it clear that her autopsy will be challenging.

“The Roswell Police Department continues its investigation into the circumstances preceding and surrounding the time of the original incident leading to her death… Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging,” the medical examiner’s office said in the Monday morning statement. “However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death.”
At this point, the medical examiner’s office has not released a definitive time frame for when the autopsy results will be released. In fact, WRAL-5 reports that additional lab testing may take several weeks to receive.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the family is currently planning Bobbi Kristina’s funeral. Although the exact date and time have yet to be confirmed, it has been reported that her funeral will take place in Atlanta, GA and she will be buried in New Jersey next to her mother, Whitney Houston.
