Celebrity Prom: Patrick Schwarzenegger and Jimmy Iovine’s daughter Jade (Photo)

Jade Iovine, the daughter of music producer and occasional American Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine, recently attended the high school prom of none-other than Patrick Schwarzenegger. But this isn’t some “hey, we’re celebs and our kids go to the same school,” thing – Iovine was Schwarzenegger’s date.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is the son of journalist Maria Shriver and THE Schwarzenegger, Ah-nold the (former) governator of California. Looking slick in a tux, Patrick is the spitting image of papa-Terminator. His date, Jade, is the daughter of Interscope Geffen A&M Records Chairman Jimmy Iovine, and appears happy-as-a-clam to be on young Schwarzenegger’s arm. Though you might be tempted to “aww” at the cute couple, the two are “just friends” according to the Instagram post on behalf of Schwarzenegger-the-younger which states “Prom with my best friend @jadeiovine,” and later confirmed on his Twitter, where he replies “haha yes just friends” to a curious follower.

18-year-old Jade is a family friend and attends the same school as Schwarzenegger. She was photographed, alongside Patrick’s sister Katherine and Maria Shriver at a Young Women’s Conference back in February.

You’ve probably seen Jimmy Iovine before, especially if you’re an Idol fan, but Jade Iovine’s mom has her own level of celebrity. Vicki Iovine, 58, is a former Playboy model and author of the “Girlfriends’ Guides” book series. She divorced from Iovine in 2009, and aside from Jade, has three other children with him. After a highly-publicized media leak and subsequent confession of infidelity, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are currently separated. The couple also has three children aside from Patrick. Curiously, Patrick Schwarzenegger is “Patrick Shriver” on Twitter.

Maybe just because it’s easier say and spell.
