Boyfriend Does Heimlich Maneuver On Girlfriend’s 15-Month-Old Toddler — Kid Dies Of Blunt Force Trauma
A toddler was supposedly in need of the Heimlich Maneuver in Tacoma, Washington. According to the boyfriend, he administered it. Yet, hours later, the toddler is dead.
On the 2500 block of South J Street, tragedy befell Sayvon Jordan — the 15-month-old toddler. The 31-year-old boyfriend, Dedric Lamar Greer, was left with his girlfriend’s children for an hour or so, according to Q13-Fox News.
Under Greer’s care, Jordan became gravely ill and was excessively vomiting. After a while, the child was described as “stiff.” A family member rushed the unresponsive toddler to Mary-Bridge Hospital. According to prosecutors, the child had been dead for a while. The medical staff contacted police authorities.
When detectives asked the boyfriend about the situation, he told them that Sayvon choked on a rock, and he administered the Heimlich maneuver. However, Dedric also told them that — once the rock was removed — he continued the life-saving technique for several more times.
Yet, on the contrary, the other children in the home had something different to say about Greer’s care. They mentioned that the boyfriend was upset with the child. The children claimed that they saw Greer punching the toddler — then also grabbing him around the neck, throwing him onto the bed and exclaiming, “Stupid baby, go to sleep!”
Moreover, the children added that the boyfriend was pushing his fists into the 15-month-old’s abdominal area. Could that have been the “Heimlich”? Well, also, they said he hit the toddler over the head with an flat iron.
In addition, according to medical officials, there were physical marks on the toddler’s body that indicated that Greer’s actions may have spanned an extended period of time — weeks of similar abuse.
When the news medium interviewed Jordan’s neighbor, he mentioned that the woman and her kids had just moved into the area. In Q13-Fox News‘ coverage of the story, the couple had just moved from Arkansas.
Due to the aforementioned, severe injuries, Sayvon Jordan died from blunt-force trauma to the abdomen. Once arrested and in court, Dedric Greer pleaded not guilty to the charge of second-degree murder and is being held at Pierce County jail on a $2 million bail.

After performing a social search, it seems that they moved from Pine Bluff, Arkansas and were engage, according to Dedric‘s Facebook profile.
Also, Greer appears to have an existing criminal record. On August 23, 2014, he was arrested and charged with rape, in Arkansas — Arrest ID #AR-111261919.
