Selena Gomez Dishes On Her Looks, Fame, Amy Schumer, And Her Birthday Plans

Fans would say that Selena Gomez looked insatiably hot in her new music video, “Good For You.” But how does the 22-year-old feel about her own hotness? During her interview with Boston’s The TJ Show, Selena graded her own hotness on a scale of 1 to 10.

The former Disney star was doing her best to stay humble. But after Gomez’s red carpet appearances at the Hotel Transylvania 2 premiere and at the 2015 Met Gala, some fans would say she’s muy caliente!

“On a good day, I would say – like a premiere day—I would be a good 9. And then, on my every day, I feel like a 6. Gosh, that sounds so bad! I feel like a 6 or 7.”

Selena also added that all girls know what it’s like to “have your days” when you’re not dolled up or not feeling like a 10. The singer also appeared embarrassed when the hosts said that she’s definitely hotter than a 6 or 7. Selena still wouldn’t admit that she’s as hot as the rising summer temperatures.

“That’s awkward … That’s so weird. Why would I want to say something like that? It’s awkward enough answering.”

Gomez also shared what she plans to do on her 23rd birthday this coming Wednesday. No, she’s not going to party at the club. Actually, Gomez plans on having a nice, quiet affair with some of her closest friends.

“I think I’m planning a dinner, so I’m going to be with my closest friends. I don’t know. I guess I’m at that age where that’s what you do, you know? You got to dinner with friends. It’s just different.”

Selena understands how the industry works now. She admits that she hates how she gets treated differently from her non-celebrity friends since becoming famous.

“My roommates that I live with are not in the business. One is a realtor and another one works for a nonprofit, and so I think when I’m in social settings and I’m with my friends and everybody treats them differently, it’s very uncomfortable because they’re my best friends and I live with them. It’s so crazy to see. An entire room will kind of just get weird about it. I don’t like that. I don’t like how people are treated differently… like when we’re at dinner and people will come up will say something and maybe I’ve never even met them before, but they just won’t treat my friends the same. It’s so ridiculous, honestly.”

Selena Gomez was also asked what show she would star on. Apparently, the actress and singer is a big fan of Amy Schumer. Selena is trying to weed her way onto the comedian’s successful television series.

“I am trying to finagle my way onto her TV show, so maybe that’s how I’ll find a way to work with her and be around her … I’m a huge fan. I think she’s amazing.”

Speaking of supporting other artists, Gomez also shared that she has no interest in having bad blood with other female artists, even if it involves some friendly competition.

“It makes me a little uncomfortable only because, you know, I never, like, made sure I Instagram it or something where I’m like ‘everybody vote!’ … I think their passion is incredible, but everybody has fans and I don’t want it to start, you know, making other people feel like you can’t be a fan of everybody.”
