According to Google Trends, the search term National Ice Cream Day and related search terms that are more specific, such as “National Ice Cream Day 2015,” have received more than 50,000 searches on Sunday, July 19, 2015. That’s because people love ice cream — and more than that, they love free ice cream.

Therefore, articles such as “Every Place You Can Get Free Ice Cream for National Ice Cream Day” from Yahoo Food are very helpful in determining the stores giving away free ice cream on July 19, 2015. According to that piece, Cold Stone Creamery is offering a deal to those who belong to their “My Cold Stone Club,” who can receive a free ice cream “creation” as long as they buy one. The Cold Stone Creamery Instagram page and their Twitter page doesn’t readily appear to have much information about the 2015 ice cream day.

Baskin-Robbins, however, is definitely pumping up their 2015 free ice cream day on Twitter. The company is offering their customers a free waffle cone — as long as they buy a double or triple scoop of ice cream on July 19, 2015. They are also letting ice cream lovers know that the deals continue on July 31, 2015, by offering 31 percent off purchases to celebrate Baskin-Robbins’ 31st birthday.

The #NationalIceCreamDay hashtag on Twitter reveals all those stores and customers tweeting about their free ice cream, including photos of those who are currently availing themselves of the 2015 fake holiday for ice cream lovers.

Even Allen Iverson got in on the free ice cream serving on Sunday, as witnessed by Twitter photos.

From the Major League Baseball mouth-watering photos of ice cream dripping in cones and baseball-shaped hats to other pics displayed on social media, National Ice Cream Day 2015 is shaping up to be a salacious temptation for those who are trying to watch their caloric and fat intake.

As reported by the Inquisitr, along with free ice cream being given away on 2015’s National Ice Cream Day, another viral event displayed LeBron James in Akron, Ohio, during the Trainwreck movie premiere with a visit to Swensons.
