‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Spoilers: The Demise Of Mystic Falls And More Teased
The Vampire Diaries is getting ready for Season 7 on CW, and fans are now receiving even more spoilers about the season ahead from the cast.
Candice Accola spoke with TV Fanatic about The Vampire Diaries Season 7 at Comic-Con, and she revealed some major spoilers about her character and the town of Mystic Falls. Fans can expect to learn more about the state of Mystic Falls during the Season 7 premiere.
Accola revealed that the premiere would reveal how the town ended up it in the dismal state it is in when the series returns. Fans saw just a glimpse of that state in the Season 6 finale.
During the premiere, fans will learn how the town died, and it will create even more questions about the town and its residents. Those questions would be answered during the season ahead.
Accola also spoke more about Caroline and Stefan’s relationship. During the season finale, Stefan told her he would wait for her to be ready for a relationship. She is coping with the loss of her mother, and she will continue to struggle with that loss during Season 7.
However, Caroline will also struggle with keeping her romantic distance away from Stefan. She will try to keep them as friends, but it will not be easy for her.
In a report shared by TV Line after Comic-Con, Accola said even more about the pair’s relationship.
“I love a good slow-burning relationship that you get to watch build. I really like [Stefan and Caroline] together. The few scripts we have read, I’m really excited for you guys to see.”
Julie Plec teased more about Caroline and Stefan’s future as well. Fans have been waiting for the pair to a couple up since Season 2. The chemistry between the pair was obvious, but Stefan was still in love with Elena at that time. Elena Gilbert is now asleep until the series ends.
Plec did share some good spoilers for the pair. She said that there are many “unexpected twists and turns. The fun of this couple is that they’re just getting cemented in their romantic status. As we left it off, he said, I will be here when you’re ready.’ She’s trying really, really, really hard not to be ready.”
