Maroon 5’s Adam Levine One-Ups Justin Timberlake With Walk Of Fame Honor
Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and Justin Timberlake have a lot in common. Both are multi-talented, multi-platinum, and Grammy-winning recording artists. But there is one prize Levine can say he has over the former N’Sync sensation: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
As reported by Billboard a few weeks back, Adam Levine is joining Bruno Mars, LL Cool J, and Cyndi Lauper as music honorees whose names will be added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016. The Maroon 5 front man is, of course, through the roof over the news. Adam posted his jubilation on Twitter.
I am so thankful to our fans, my band, and my family for helping me to achieve this monumental milestone; thank you so much @WOFstargirl!

According to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer/VP Media Relations, Ana Martinez, no date has been set yet for Levine’s grand inauguration into immortality. On her Twitter account, Martinez fielded questions about the upcoming inductees.
No date yet. He was selected for 2016. He has two years to do it. https://t.co/RlwcQrtrhs

However, one fan asked about Justin Timberlake’s star, inquiring about it’s location. Martinez set the record straight, surprisingly admitting Justin hasn’t yet been nominated.
JT does not have a star. He has never been nominated by his mngt. We need paperwork submitted in order to consider. https://t.co/xN7AMyV084

Justin Timberlake has been in the public eye since his days on the Mickey Mouse Club, where he performed with future celebrities like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. He then next hit the limelight as part of the 90’s boy band N’Sync where his star rose to prominence.
But it wasn’t until he separated himself from the rest of the group and struck out on his own that he achieved both fame and critical acclaim as a talented singer-songwriter. After conquering the Billboard charts, he next took on acting with appearances in The Social Network, Bad Teacher, In Time, and Friends with Benefits. His most buzz-worthy performance, however, came in the form of guest host of Saturday Night Live where he and Andy Samberg collaborated on the viral R&B song “D*ck in a Box.” Which makes it surprising that Justin Timberlake hasn’t been nominated for a star on the Walk of Fame yet.
Adam Levine’s credentials, aside from Maroon 5, are very similar to that of Timberlake’s. Adam is one of the judge’s on The Voice for NBC and has some acting experience. He was also part of the team that was nominated for an Oscar with the hit single “Lost Stars.”
Hopefully, Justin Timberlake’s management team takes in a Maroon 5 concert soon and becomes inspired enough to file the right paperwork.
