Are Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Engaged? Rep Says “No”
Despite a swarm of rumors suggesting otherwise, teen idols Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are not getting engaged, JB’s manager, Scooter Braun, revealed to Us Weekly.
According to US, the Bieber/Gomez engagement rumors started when the pair was spotted “ring-shopping” recently, checking out diamond rings in a couple of major jewelry stores.
The false allegations, which were posted by The Chicago Sun-Times, quickly sparked a firestorm on Twitter Friday morning — with fans alternately celebrating and mourning the supposed wedding news.
Although Bieber, 18, and Gomez, 19, have been dating for nearly a year and are certainly not shy of public displays of affection, Braun told Us Weekly, that the claims are “complete bulls**t” and Bieber’s team was “laughing” at the speculation.
MTV writes that while Bieber and Gomez aren’t planning on tying the knot just yet, they posses some of the key elements of a relationship built to weather the storms of life.
Justin shared a few of those in an interview with MTV on the set of the music video shoot for “Boyfriend.
“I don’t know if I’m even the best boyfriend,” Bieber humbly admitted to MTV. “But I can give a few suggestions. I think being honest and patient, because girls can be tough sometimes, so you just got to be patient. That’s two. Forgive, and have fun, because it’s about having fun. Last one? Be faithful.”
The Biebs, who dropped his new hit song “Boyfriend” back in March, is set to release his new album Believe in June.
