The Luke and Laura adventure continues as General Hospital has given fans many blasts from the past last week. Viewers saw the return of Jennifer Smith, Holly Sutton, Ethan Lovett, and now Frank Smith? Yes, the evil former mob boss showed up in a wheelchair and toting a gun. According to ABC, the spoilers for July 6 shows that the fireworks are about to explode when shots are fired where the former lovebirds are being held captive.
Outside the room, daughter Lulu hears the shots and fears the worst. It may or may not come as a surprise that Frank Smith has returned from the dead on General Hospital and that he was the culprit behind the kidnapping of Lucky and Ethan. He is now in a wheelchair, thanks to being shot by Luke Spencer years ago, and he is now hopping mad. He has a gun in his hand and he is not afraid to use it.
He is hell bent on getting revenge against Luke, and the best way to do that may be to watch his former flame, Laura, perish in front of him. The look on Luke’s face says it all.
By now, everyone knows that Anthony Geary is retiring from his role as the infamous Luke Spencer on General Hospital, and the whole storyline is to exit him from the soap. Fans have wondered how this will all end. Will he and Laura get back together and go running off into the sunset? Does Luke just decide to leave town? Or could it be that he eventually dies? Now, that wouldn’t make fans very happy at all.
With the spoilers that General Hospital has just released, it could be that Luke gets shot trying to protect Laura from the wrath of Frank Smith. Would the ABC soap really kill Luke off? It is highly doubtful, but then again, it would make quite a dramatic end to the Port Charles hero.
Of course, it is a bit early to end this whole General Hospital storyline. The Inquisitr has previously reported that Anthony Geary’s last official air date is July 27, so there is still a little more time before viewers will see just how he makes his exit.
There have been so many rumors recently on who will show up next. Fans knew beforehand that Laura (Genie Francis), Holly (Emma Samms), Lucky (Jonathan Jackson), and Ethan (Nathan Parsons) were all returning to the soap. This has become one last adventure for Luke and Laura as they try to save their son from the evilness that seems follow them wherever they go.
Entertainment Weekly’s General Hospital recap said that Luke’s son with Holly, Ethan, was saved from a violent death last week by his dad as a bomb was set to blow up with just a slight movement. Now, Luke finds himself in the hands of his old nemesis.
The history between Luke and Laura is classic, and it brings back many memories for longtime viewers of the soap. It will be sad to see Luke Spencer gone from Port Charles, but at least Laura is sticking around a bit longer after Luke’s exit. It has been confirmed by Genie Francis that she will be staying on, at least for a little while longer.
