Eva Longoria bared her bikini body and proved that 40 is the new 20. Visiting Spain for her Fourth Of July holiday weekend, Eva is the host for the Global Gift Gala, reported People.
While taking time to enjoy the water in that tiny bikini, the 40-year-old actress is focused on helping charities that include the Eva Longoria Foundation.
And despite the onus associated with turning 40, Eva has no fear about getting older, reported Us Weekly.
“Fourth level. 40! I actually feel better,” Longoria declared. “I’ve never been in better shape in my life. I’ve never been happier in my life. I love where I’m at emotionally and spiritually, so for me, I’m like so happy.”
Eva emphasized that she values the knowledge that she has acquired as she ages.
“I always said that I was like open arms for 40 because I want my 40-year-old mind,” stated Longoria. “I want all the experience and everything to help now.”
As for how she maintains that bikini body at 40, Eva loses weight when she needs to by cutting out sugar and simple carbohydrates, reported Just Jared.
“I’m definitely a moderation girl, but sometimes I won’t eat sugar for three months. I’ll cut out all sugar and simple carbs that turn into sugar—rice, pasta, bread. I’m not a big carb person anyway, so it’s not that hard. I actually love fish and vegetables. I was raised on vegetables! Anything green—spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts—I crave.”
In addition to following a low-carb diet at intervals, Longoria maintains her bikini body at 40 by exercising regularly, reported E News.
“I’m a runner. I don’t need a gym, I’ll go run anywhere. I was in Australia, Budapest and Paris…In Australia and I went running around the botanical gardens and when I got to Paris I ran around the Eiffel tower. And when I was in Budapest I ran around their little medieval section passing the castle. It’s truly one of the best forms of exercising and the best thing to do while traveling because you get to sight-seeing and as I’m running I was really standing under the Eiffel tower at seven in the morning going ‘this is so cool!'”
As the Inquisitr reported, Eva has stayed busy since the final episode of Desperate Housewives, and now is involved in a comedy Telenovela, which focuses on what really happens behind the cameras of a Spanish language telenovela, seen mostly through the eyes of Eva as a Spanish-language soap opera diva.
