WWE News: Odds For ‘Battleground’ Released — Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Roman Reigns Favored To Win

The odds for next month’s WWE Battleground show have been released, and they’re indicating that Brock Lesnar will be the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. It’s expected that Lesnar won’t lose to Seth Rollins; however, it’s unclear that he’ll actually win the WWE Title, as WWE could end up having some kind of screwy finish that will lead to a rematch between the two at SummerSlam in August.

Also, there has been some talk of having Sheamus cash-in his Money in the Bank contract at WWE Battleground during the Rollins vs. Lesnar match, which would lead to him getting pinned by Rollins. But, since the show is still several weeks away, WWE does have plenty of time to make up their mind.

As for the odds for the match between Rollins and Lesnar, “The Beast” is a slight favorite at -170, whereas Rollins is a slight underdog at +130.

The second biggest match at WWE Battleground is the United States Championship match between John Cena and Kevin Owens. It’s the third match of their very entertaining program, and the score is even at 1-1. Most people agree that there’s only one way this match should end, and that’s with Kevin Owens walking out of the event as the new WWE United States Champion. However, the odds are indicating that John Cena will retain his US Title over the NXT Champion.

Here are the odds: John Cena -190, Kevin Owens +150.

Lastly, and unsurprisingly, Roman Reigns is favored to defeat Bray Wyatt at WWE Battleground. It’s unclear if this will just be a one-off match. There have been reports that WWE is planning on having Wyatt go after the Intercontinental Championship after his feud with Reigns ends, and it’s quite possible that Reigns and Wyatt will be wrestling each other through SummerSlam.

Once again, here are the odds: Roman Reigns -150, Bray Wyatt +110.

We’re still several weeks away from WWE Battleground, so the odds will likely change over the next couple of weeks as the apparent favorites emerge. But most people are picking Reigns and Lesnar to win their respective matches. So, the odds aren’t going against the fans’ opinion in those two cases; however, they are going against the fans’ opinion in the John Cena vs Kevin Owens match.

WWE Battleground takes place on July 19, at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. It will be the third event under the Battleground chronology.
