Are Gigi Hadid’s Friendships With Taylor Swift And Kendall Jenner At Risk?

Gigi Hadid is pals with two of Harry Styles’ ex-girlfriends, but the One Direction singer has nothing to do with why the strength of Gigi’s friendships with Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner is being questioned.

Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are both reality show stars who have become major forces in the modeling industry, so you’d think that the girls would always be up for the same jobs. It might be fun to image Gigi and Kendall pulling a Zoolander by using a walk-off to determine who wins a modeling gig, but Gigi told Harper’s Bazaar that she and Kendall have different enough looks that they don’t have to worry about being competitors. And even if they were, Gigi wouldn’t let her career ruin her friendships with Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin.

“Not really, I don’t really feel competition like that. Especially in a job like this—we look different, like Hailey [Baldwin] is brunette now. So literally, if they want Kendall [Jenner], they’re not going to want someone who looks like me. It’s completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than one job. If you’re going to let it ruin that, then that’s stupid.”

Gigi Hadid might not kick Kendall in the shin to beat her out for a runway gig, but she recently broke a major girl code rule by dating one of her BFF’s exes. As the Inquisitr previously reported, there are rumors that Taylor Swift is extremely upset with Gigi for hooking up with Joe Jonas. However, Joe dumped Taylor back in 2008, so she’s had plenty of time to sing things out.

There’s some evidence that there’s no truth to the rumors that Joe Jonas is causing some “Bad Blood” between Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid. According to Us Weekly, Taylor actually hung out with Gigi and Joe at the Plan Check restaurant in Los Angeles on June 14. Hopefully this means that Taylor won’t be writing any mean-spirited songs about Gigi’s sex life — when Joe Jonas moved on to Camilla Belle, Taylor dissed the brunette beauty by singing about how the actress is “better known for the things that she does on the mattress.” Maybe Taylor Swift has learned that letting her exes move on in peace is “Better Than Revenge.”

A soruce told Hollywood Life that “Taylor has come round to the idea of Gigi dating Joe now,” and she’s given the cute couple her blessing. The singer is also confident that Joe Jonas won’t break her friend’s heart.

“Taylor obviously has Gigi’s best interests at heart, but she’s not worried that Joe will hurt Gigi like he did her. She’s given Gigi and Joe her blessing and believes they’re great together. Taylor doesn’t want the dynamic in her relationship with both to change.”
