Carrie Underwood Baby Bod: CMT Awards Winner Carrie Rocks Red Carpet Just Four Months After Baby From Vegan Diet [Video]

Carrie Underwood flaunted her baby bod at the CMT Awards. Although her baby was born only four months ago, Carrie’s success in restoring her pre-baby body turned heads both on the red carpet and during the CMT Awards, which included her first live broadcast performance since Isaiah Michael was born, reported the New York Daily News.

Going with a mini dress to show off that post-baby bod, Underwood did more than provide her fans with a glimpse of her fabulous figure. She also carried out their belief in the power of her music by taking the lead in the 2015 CMT Music Awards nominations.

But what many want to know is: just how did Carrie restore her pre-baby body so fast? It’s all got to do with following a primarily vegan diet and exercising throughout her pregnancy.

However, Underwood also revealed that she modified her typical vegan diet somewhat to go vegetarian while she was nurturing her baby bump, reported Yahoo. That meant adding eggs and dairy for more protein.

“I have been vegetarian for about 10 years now. With pregnancy, I am definitely going more on the vegetarian side, but as soon as I am not pregnant anymore I will go back to being vegan. I don’t think I am craving anything too crazy. I try to keep it as healthy as possible and try to take care of myself.”

In addition to returning to her vegan diet, Carrie worked out with her personal trainer, as the Inquisitr reported.

And even though Underwood, with help from her husband, Mark Fisher, is devoted to doting on her baby son, Carrie was determined to get that baby bod back in shape, said her trainer.

With a new exercise line called Calia, Underwood began her post-baby comeback by setting a goal of flaunting her figure in fitness wear in a photo shoot. And while her fans marveled at how fabulous the new mom looked, celebrity personal trainer Erin Oprea says it’s both fun and effective.

While a warm-up and cool-down are important, variety is essential as well, emphasizes Erin.

“Sometimes we’ll go for a run with lots of hills, stop at a park to do some pull ups, push ups, step ups and other fun body weight stuff,” said Oprea.

As for winning awards for her music, Carrie also rocked at the CMT Awards, reported USA Today.

Underwood performed “Little Toy Guns” before taking three awards. That gives Carrie a total of 13 CMT awards, called “Buckles,” which ranks as the No. 1 for musicians.

And the new mom kept her acceptance speech simple, giving thanks to her fans after winning top video video of the year for her Christian faith song, “Something in the Water.”

“I have the best fans in the world, I really do. I mean, country music has the best fans in the world, but I definitely have the best of the best of the best.”
