Gigi Hadid Will Care For Yolanda Foster When She Returns To The Country

Gigi Hadid is fresh from a split from her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Cody Simpson, and planning to focus on family. Although the model is likely a bit bummed that her relationship with Simpson has come to an end, a source told Hollywood Life on May 12 that Gigi Hadid is holding up fairly well and ready to do her part in caring for her ailing mother, Yolanda Foster.

“[Gigi Hadid] isn’t too downbeat about her split with Cody, because she has a new focus now. Once Yolanda returns home from Holland, Gigi will be taking care of her mom who is currently undergoing treatment for her debilitating Lyme disease.”

Gigi Hadid’s mother, who stars on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012. Then in late 2014, Foster experienced a relapse, which left her unable to read, write, and watch television. In the months since, Foster has traveled the globe, receiving many different treatment options in many different countries.

“[Gigi Hadid] knows she has to pull her weight and do as much as she can for her mom and stepdad, David [Foster]. She doesn’t think it’s fair to leave that to everyone else and wants to help in and chip in when she can. Now that she has a bit of time on her hands, she will spend free time with her mom.”

Foster has been extremely vocal about her struggles, chronicling her journey to find a cure on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and on social media. However, Foster’s Bravo journey may soon come to an end, as her husband, Gigi Hadid’s step-father, is reportedly encouraging her to move on.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Foster is reportedly concerned about his wife’s health and hoping she will leave reality television, so she can focus on getting better full-time. Earlier this month, a source explained the following to Radar Online.

“David has told Yolanda there is just no way she can return to the show because her condition is just getting worse. The Lyme disease is just ravaging her, and traveling for the international medical treatments is taking a toll.”

The source added that Gigi Hadid’s mother was “extremely weak, and her memory is suffering.”

While Foster’s role on the show won’t be confirmed for several months, Gigi Hadid’s step-father reportedly feels her illness may suffer further because of her “vicious” co-stars on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
