Drug Rehab Update: Leah Messer Is Just Days Away From Entering Treatment, ‘Extremely Depressed’

Drug rehab may be a major part of the upcoming sixth season of Teen Mom 2, which returns to MTV this summer. As filming continues on the upcoming series, cast member Leah Messer is reportedly headed to drug rehab to address her struggles with prescription pills.

On April 22, In Touch Weekly announced Messer would be going to drug rehab the week of April 27, claiming the reality star was “extremely depressed.”

“Her family is begging her to hold it together until then.”

Just last week, Messer and her family celebrated the wedding of her sister, Victoria and her now-husband Brian Jones in West Virginia, and according to a source, the reality star was “completely miserable.”

“[Messer] bemoaned having to pose for a group photo after the ceremony and asked her friend to drive her and her kids to the reception – but two-year-old Adalynn wasn’t even in a car seat.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Messer’s husband, Jeremy Calvert, was not in attendance at the ceremony, and it was unclear whether or not he was invited at all. As rumors regarding Messer’s stint in drug rehab continued to swirl, she served as Victoria’s maid of honor, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, as husband Calvert was presumably working in Ohio.

Although Messer may be headed to drug rehab, she appeared to be doing well weeks ago and even gave herself a makeover with lighter hair and long extensions. Now, however, the In Touch Weekly source claims she’s looking a bit worse for wear.

“[Messer ]was hunched over and aged beyond her years.”

In addition to showing signs of needing drug rehab, Messer is reportedly in denial, refusing to admit her decision to those close to her.

“She’s telling everyone that she’s going away for therapy.”

If Messer enters drug rehab during filming on Teen Mom 2 Season 6, fans will likely see it on the show — and it wouldn’t be the first time a cast member entered treatment. As fans will recall, Jenelle Evans went to drug rehab during a previous season after struggling with an addiction to drugs, which she ultimately kicked a couple of years ago.

While Messer has stayed quiet regarding talks of her entering drug rehab, her mother recently spoke out on Facebook, telling her many fans and followers that daughter Messer had no plans of going to drug rehab, or any other rehab, for that matter.
