Kim Richards’ Arrest: Eyewitnesses Say People Didn’t Want To Be Around Drunken Star
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has spent the entire season defending her sobriety, but many of the wives believed that she had relapsed on several occasions. Clearly, this was something that scared Kyle Richards, as she had tried to be supportive of her sister and defending her several times.
Maybe Kyle always had a suspicion that Kim Richards had relapsed while they were filming The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills together last year. But after the cameras went away, Kim decided to go hang out at the Beverly Hills hotel. Sadly, the night ended in an arrest, which has been covered extensively by the media. At the time of her arrest, Richards was drunk.
According to a new US Weekly report, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards got drunk during her night out, and eyewitnesses are now revealing what happened prior to her arrest. Kim went out for dinner with some friends at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge. It is believed that she didn’t drink during the dinner. Once her friends left, onlookers say that Kim went to the bar.
“She became loud, yelling and laughing at other people,” an eyewitness reveals, adding, “She was slurring, and people were moving away because they didn’t want to be on the receiving end of her comments.”
The bartenders apparently realized that Kim Richards was being a bother to the other patrons and decided that she needed to be removed. But Richards wasn’t exactly being a friendly patron.
“She was past the point of being reasonable,” an onlooker has revealed about her behavior.
Security was called and Richards rushed to the restroom to hide. Kim refused to come out, so police had to take over. The arrest took place at 2:04 a.m. and she was released again at 10:36 a.m. Details have surfaced from her arrest report, which reveal that Kim Richards reportedly kicked an offer during her arrest.
“[Richards] was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest,” according to a statement released by the BHPD.
Fans have been waiting for Kim Richards or Kyle to speak out about the arrest. According to the Inquisitr, Kim was very drunk prior, so she may not have tweeted during this time. One can imagine that Kyle is completely shocked at the arrest, and has kept her silence to respect her sister. But Richards herself has done an interview with Dr. Phil, where she opens up about her drinking problem.
“I was angry and frightened and I was scared. I knew what I had done,” Kim Richards told Dr. Phil during her interview, which will air later this month, adding, “The whole night is my fault. None of this would have happened if I didn’t drink.”
