‘Real Housewives’ Kim Richards Was ‘Very Drunk,’ Prior To Arrest, Claims Source: A Timeline Of Her 2015 Arrest

Real Housewives star Kim Richards was arrested on Thursday. One day later, new details about the star’s alleged behavior have been revealed.

On April 17, a source spoke to PEOPLE Magazine, claiming the 50-year-old Real Housewives star was “very drunk” prior to her early morning arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Richards is a “frequent guest” at the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to the source, was seen dining at the Polo Lounge before enjoying “several cocktails by the bar. She was drinking vodka.”

“Later in the evening, she became aggressive, loud and insulting to other guests. It was clear that she was very drunk.”

The PEOPLE Magazine source explained that hotel policy at the Beverly Hills Hotel requires bartenders to stop serving guests if they appear to be inebriated. However, when the bartender put this practice into motion with the Real Housewives star, Richards reportedly didn’t take kindly to it. In fact, after the bartender suggested she instead order a non-alcoholic drink, “[Richards] got very mad at the suggestion.”

“She insisted on having another vodka drink and when the bartender kept saying no, she flipped out.”

After the Real Housewives star began to act out, security at the hotel attempted to “gently” remove her from the bar. Because Richards is a celebrity, the staff reportedly did what they could do avoid embarrassing her, but the Real Housewives star wasn’t ready to go when asked nicely.

“[Richards] was having none of it. She caused a huge scene and was so out of control.”

Once staff deemed the situation to be more than they could handle, the Beverly Hills Police Department was called, and quickly responded to “reports of a possible fight” at 1:30 a.m. At 2:04 a.m., the Real Housewives star was taken into custody.

“[Richards] was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest,” according to a statement released by the BHPD.

The Real Housewives star was charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer, and spent hours behind bars before her 10:36 a.m. release on Thursday.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is reportedly refusing rehab after her arrest, instead claiming she’d prefer a sober living companion. Radar Online first reported the news on Friday.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 5 concludes on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Bravo, with the series’ lost footage episode.
