‘RHONY’ Season 7 Premiere Party: Bethenny Frankel Ditched Event, Hung With Kyle Richards Instead
The RHONY Season 7 premiere party was one housewife short. On April 9, Radar Online revealed returning RHONY Season 7 cast member Bethenny Frankel skipped the premiere party in lieu of dinner with an old friend in Los Angeles.
As the rest of the RHONY Season 7 cast celebrated Tuesday night’s premiere at AOA Bar & Grill in Tribeca, Frankel separated herself from the group and instead enjoyed a dinner with fellow Real Housewives star Kyle Richards, whom she knew long before the Bravo series came about.
In an interview with Radar Online, a party goer revealed the following.
“As usual Bethenny wants to separate herself from the pack, so she scheduled her book tour in L.A. the same day as the premiere so she couldn’t attend. But she managed to send a case of her booze. When Ramona [Singer] saw it displayed on the bar, she carried it herself to the back, then replaced it with Ramona pinot.”
In October, after taking three seasons off, Frankel agreed to return to the Bravo series for RHONY Season 7. However, because of her book tour, she’s been unable to participate in cast activities as she normally would have. Still, she’s been doing a lot via social media to promote the show, so this one instance shouldn’t be held against the RHONY Season 7 cast member. In fact, according to Radar Online, Frankel’s return to the show has led to a rise in the ratings, which is a good thing for everyone involved in the show.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, RHONY Season 7 star Kristen Taekman recently opened up about Frankel’s return. In an interview with Glamour magazine, Taekman said she was excited that Frankel would be joining her on RHONY Season 7.
“There are so many of us this year—there are eight women—so it’s interesting with the return of [Bethenny Frankel] because she’s really close to half of the girls and getting to know the other half. It’s an interesting dynamic. She definitely shakes things up in a really great way.”
During the RHONY Season 7 premiere episode, Frankel got right to her divorce, breaking down about her heartbreak during a conversation with her co-star. Although Frankel and Ramona Singer often feuded when they starred alongside one another years ago, their divorces have led to a bond. While Frankel and her husband, Jason Hoppy, parted ways in late 2012, Singer and her husband, Mario, split just before filming on RHONY Season 7.
The RHONY Season 7 airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
