WWE News: Updated Official And Rumored Matches For ‘WrestleMania 31’ – Another Title Match Added, More To Come?

Just one week remains until WWE presents WrestleMania 31, and seven matches have been officially announced for the card. Some others have been rumored, and now one of those rumors is coming true as WWE has added another title match to the card, but it sadly won’t be on the main show.

According to WrestleZone, the WWE Network schedule updated their schedule on Friday and it shows an extra match on the card. While it hasn’t been officially announced on a main WWE show or on WWE.com, the Tag Team titles will be defended on the WrestleMania 31 pre-show.

The Brass Ring Club (Tyson Kidd and Cesaro) are going to defend the titles in a Fatal Four-Way match with The Usos, Los Matadores, and A New Day.

Now, this is going to be interesting as it was reported last week that Jey Uso had an injured shoulder. If the next week of rest doesn’t prove to make him healthy enough, the Usos may be removed from the match entirely or could be replaced by The Ascension.

That makes a total of eight matches that will be on the WrestleMania 31 card so far, but it’s odd that the Tag Title match is on the pre-show. There should be more than enough time for it on the main show, but at least it made it at all.

One other thing that’s been updated on the card lately is the list of competitors in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. As of March 16, there were 17 official participants listed and it’s expected there will be a grand total of 20.

WWE.com has now confirmed that one of the final remaining spots will be taken by a member of NXT.

A mini-tournament will take place at WrestleMania Axxess, and it will include former NXT Champion Adrian Nevill, Hideo Itami, Finn Balor, and Tyler Breeze. They will compete against one another in the tournament and the winner will get a spot in the big battle royal.

For any of the four NXT stars, it would be their first time appearing and competing at a WrestleMania event.

With the addition of the tag match, the current card is as follows:

  • WWE World Title: Brock Lesnar (C) vs. Roman Reigns
  • Sting vs. Triple H
  • Intercontinental Title Ladder Match: Bad News Barrett (C) vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Stardust vs. Luke Harper vs. R-Truth
  • Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins
  • Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker
  • The Bella Twins vs. AJ Lee & Paige
  • United States Title: Rusev (C) vs. John Cena
  • Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
  • Pre-Show – Tag-Team Title Match: Brass Ring Club (C) vs. The Usos vs. A New Day vs. Los Matadores

The card for WrestleMania 31 looks as if it may now be fully complete, but there is still a week to go and things could change. It will be interesting to see who takes the final couple of spots in the battle royal as well.
