‘Borderlands: The Handsome Collection’ Now Available for Pre-Download As New SHiFT Codes Are Released For The Weekend

With a release date on March 24, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is nearly here. Fans of the loot-shooter can now digitally pre-order and pre-download the remastered bundle today. As stated on the official Borderlands account on Facebook, the two-pack can be pre-ordered and pre-downloaded from both Sony and Microsoft.

Both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel are included in Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. The two games follow the rise of Handsome Jack, an ambitious man on Pandora that starts off with little power but ends up with more than he should really wield. Although the original Borderlands is not included in the bundle, new players can start with Borderlands 2 quite easily and finish up Handsome Jack’s story with The Pre-Sequel.

These titles are both enhanced and improved for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In fact, they will now boast four-play split-screen co-op over the previous two-player option on last-generation consoles. The store description summarizes it nicely.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will release on the same day that the final season pass DLC will release for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Since all DLC for both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is included in The Handsome Collection, players will be able to download “Claptastic Voyage” on the day of release for free. All other DLC for both games will be on disc.

Inquisitr recently reported on “Claptastic Voyage” and what fans can expect from the DLC. The vault hunters will be tasked with entering Claptrap’s mind to recover import data within the annoying robot. Vault hunters will be digitized into Claptrap’s mind to find the valuable H-Source. They will have to get out without hurting the robot too seriously. This DLC also includes another Pre-Sequel DLC called the “Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2” that lets players reach an increased level cap of 70. Vault hunters will have another 10 skill points to spend, giving them access to even more powers and talents.

Players currently enjoying Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on last-gen consoles and PC can redeem a few SHiFT codes posted on the Borderlands official Twitter account. After entering these codes, players can pick up new, random items from the SHiFT terminal Concordia. The new golden key codes will remain active throughout the rest of the week.
