Scotland is now in desperation mode as they badly need a win in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, and they’re hoping it will come in their next game against Bangladesh. On the other hand, Bangladesh is hoping not to fall under.500 by knocking Scotland further down the ladder. Make sure to watch all the action streaming live online on the pitch.
Bangladesh has played in only two matches so far, and that’s because one match against Australia was abandoned without a ball bowled, due to weather. In Match 7, they defeated Afghanistan by 105 runs, and then lost to Sri Lanka by 92 runs in Match 18.
Scotland, they just aren’t doing well in the World Cup, as they sit at 0-3. In their opening match, they lost by three wickets to New Zealand and then by 119 runs to England in their second. Match three was a bit closer, but they still lost by one wicket to Afghanistan.
As of now, Scotland is doing anything and everything to get their first World Cup win. As ESPN Cric Info reported, Scotland went out and hired former Bangladesh coach Shane Jurgensen as a consultant for the team.
He’s going to be with Scotland for just one game, but it’s important for the team to have him there. Scotland’s captain Preston Mommsen is happy he’s there.
“It is nice to have someone experienced working with the Bangladeshi players… Obviously he gives us some good insights and good information on the players and hopefully he could point us to some weakness so we can exploit. I think it’s a clever move from us to bring him in the camp for the next few days and we all are looking forward to working with him.”
Bangladesh doesn’t feel that Jurgensen’s presence with Scotland will help them any, as Shakib Al Hasan said that “everyone knows about each other in world cricket these days.”
The match between Bangladesh vs. Scotland is scheduled to begin at 11:30 local time (22:30 GMT) on Thursday, March 5, at the Saxton Oval in Nelson, New Zealand.
ESPN will begin online streaming at 4:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 4, but that is just one option to watch Bangladesh vs. Scotland live. ESPN does charge a fee to watch all of the matches in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, so be aware of that.
