‘Destiny’: Xur’s Location And Exotic Goods For Weekend Of February 27, Heart Of Praxic Fire On Sale
A new collection of Exotic goods is available to purchase in Destiny from Xûr, Agent of the Nine and this isn’t “new” as in a refresh of armor and weapons we’ve all seen before. The mysterious vendor is selling three items that he’s never offered before to PlayStation and Xbox players.
This weekend, Xûr can be found just outside of the Speaker’s building next to the railing overlooking the city. Turn left as soon as you spawn in the Tower and run straight to the north part of the social space. Here’s where you can find him on the Tower map.
Xûr and his items will only be available in Destiny through the morning of Sunday, March 1. As soon as the clock strikes 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT, he will be gone.
The headliner this week is the Warlock chest piece, Heart of Praxic Fire. Sunsingers will be rejoicing as they chuck grenade after grenade with this piece. The sale of Universal Remote is also well-timed with the significant PVE buff that shotguns received in the Destiny 1.1.1 patch released this week. While ATS/8 Arachnid is new, it is more of a collector piece. The only repeat this week is the Titan’s No Backup Plans Gauntlet.
Sadly, there is no Heavy Ammo weapon synthesis for sale.
Here is what is available for sale and upgrade from Xûr this weekend. Thanks again to DestinyDB for the Exotic information below.

For those wondering what to get, here are a few helpful hints.
The Universal Remote shotgun is one of the rare non-primary weapons that can be placed in the primary weapon slot. It’s not a top-tier shotgun in terms of its range and impact, but its versatility is a boon especially with the new 100 percent damage buff in PVE.
No Backup Plans are the only Exotic gauntlets currently available to Guardians and are geared toward the Defender sub-class. They provide a big boost in strength while the Rain Blows perks increases melee speed. Meanwhile, the Improved Disintegrate perk will increase the duration of the Force Barrier that pops over you after you punch that Warlock into oblivion.
The 96 Strength stat roll is decidedly average for No Backup Plans. That said, Helm of Saint-14 is the better Exotic armor for the Defender sub-class while Armamentarium and Ruin Wings are also suitable alternatives.
The ATS/8 Arachnid’s main perk is the Arachnid Sensorium, which gives Gunslinger Hunters a moderate zoom to the Golden Gun super. This is one of four Exotic helmets for Hunters and the least desirable compared to the Achlyophage Symbiote. The Ashes to Asset replenishes Super energy with grenade kills and Light the Blade compliments by reducing the melee cooldown with grenade damage.
The stat roll for ATS/8 Arachnid is about as low as it can go this week with 47 Discipline and 47 Strength. That reason combined with better Exotic helmets available, makes this one a skip for Hunters unfortunately.
Heart of the Praxic Fire is to Sunsinger Warlocks what Obsidian Mind is to Voidwalker Warlocks. Its “Praise the Sun” perk decreases all cooldowns while the Radiance Super is active. This turns “Sunbros” into grenade chucking and orb generating machines. It also comes with perks to carry more Fusion Rifle and Heavy Weapon ammo.
The 139 Discipline stat roll for Heart of the Praxic Fire is average. However, this piece is worth purchasing even with an average stat roll. This is especially true since this is the first time that Xûr has sold the armor.
