Kelly Clarkson Supports Marijuana Legalization And The Second Amendment

Kelly Clarkson has revealed that she’s a huge supporter of marijuana legalization and the Second Amendment. In a revealing interview with Us Weekly, the singer admitted that she sees nothing wrong with smoking weed recreationally. Kelly was featured in the magazine’s “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” list.

“I cannot understand the fact that controlled narcotic substances and alcohol are legal and weed isn’t. How many people do you know who have died from weed? My point exactly.”

Clarkson, 32, also hinted that she supports the Second Amendment. “I have a concealed handgun license,” she added. Clarkson did not say if she currently owns a gun.

The rest of Kelly’s list is pretty mundane, even for the hardcore fan. She reveals some of her favorite movies and books, her love for Broadway, and some of her strange habits. Kelly loves “cleaning out” her ears with Q-tips and ear candles, and spend two hours taking a bubble bath.

Clarkson is a pretty busy singer these days. She just released her third song this week, titled “Run Run Run,” which features John Legend, according to Just Jared. This song is also the fourth one that Clarkson dropped from her upcoming album Piece By Piece, which is expected to drop iTunes and elsewhere on March 3.

Kelly also graces this week’s cover of People magazine. She appears on the cover with her baby girl, River Rose. Inside the magazine, Kelly talks about being a pop star and becoming a mother. She calls her daughter “the happiest baby on the planet.” And it shows, just looking at the People cover and Kelly’s Instagram pics of River Rose.

Kelly Clarkson also found herself in the middle of a Twitter feud with a British celebrity. Television personality Katie Hopkins took to Twitter to exclaim over her disgust over Clarkson’s weight gain. She tweeted, “Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen. #grahamnorton”

Katie was referencing to Kelly’s appearance on The Graham Norton Show. The singer was slammed for keeping on her baby weight after giving birth to her daughter 9 months ago. Though Kelly Clarkson didn’t respond to Katie Hopkins’ cruel comments, it didn’t take long for Clarkson’s fans to support the singer.

Kelly has also received scrutiny for saying that she was turned down by huge performers when asked to collaborate with them. She forgot to note that she had a huge duet with John Legend.
