Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett Share The Spotlight At The Grammys

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett paired off to share the spotlight at the Grammys by arriving together, posing for pictures and performing at the awards show in Los Angeles. Decked out in a beautiful Brandon Maxwell dress, Lady Gaga was channeling old style glam fashion to match Tony Bennett’s classic style. The two stars have been working together, including rehearsals for the Grammy night performance.

Lady Gaga is known for her extreme styles, but sharing the spotlight with Tony Bennett seems to have toned the singer down in a good way. Adding powerful makeup and high energy body language, Lady Gaga maintains her own look while rocking a sultry diva vibe with Bennett.

The silver gown is revealing and has a little “Jessica Rabbit” twist to it, according to Huffington Post. MTV Canada tweeted about how “great” Lady Gaga is next to Tony Bennett.

On the red carpet, the singing duo were walking hand in hand. During the Grammys Live Stream, Lady Gaga graciously insisted that Tony Bennett go before her during media pictures. The gentleman crooner, however, let Lady Gaga be the lady and go first.

While chatting with Ryan Seacrest on the Grammys Red Carpet, the two stars expressed excitement and happiness over their Grammy win for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.

Lady Gaga stated as follows.

“I’m singing songs by the greatest songwriters in the history of American music. And, I’m singing them with this incredible man and we’re just so happy to be here tonight. And, we’re so proud to win this Grammy, aren’t we Tony?”

An equally delighted Bennett agreed, “Oh, I love it!”

Singing “Cheek to Cheek“, the title track off of their duets album, Bennett and Gaga impressed the crowd.

A gracious Tony Bennett tweeted a picture of their moment on stage after the show.

Tony Bennett was raised in Astoria and is best known as an American singer with the likes of crooners, like Frank Sinatra. From standards to jazz, Bennett is a famous name and voice.

Lady Gaga rose to stardom with her debut album, The Fame, in 2008. Since then, she has proven to be a consummate artist and pop star in her own right. Usually known for her eclectic looks, Lady Gaga seems to have found a classy niche for her fashion statements, alongside Bennett.

The combination of the two performers has served them well, recording and touring together, and now winning a Grammy for their collaboration.
