LuAnn de Lesseps appeared on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live , where she opened up about the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City , and the return of her former co-star, Bethenny Frankel.
“It’s funny to have Bethenny back, it’s like old times. It’s like the good old days,” LuAnn de Lesseps said , according to a report by Real Mr. Housewife on February 4.
“This season she gets along with people you wouldn’t expect her to get along with and hates people that you wouldn’t expect. It’s exciting to watch her work it with all of the girls. We talk a lot about the old days, too.”
As far as the rest of the former ladies of the show, LuAnn de Lesseps said she isn’t in contact with everyone, but she does have a close friendship with Jill Zarin, who appeared on the show for Seasons 1 through 4.
“I don’t hear from Alex. Alex and I were never really good friends. I never have been close to Alex. Jill emailed me yesterday. We’re trying to get together. I haven’t seen her in a while because I’ve been busy with the season. We’re old buddies. She’s like family.”
As the Inquisitr reported in October, Frankel announced her return to The Real Housewives of New York City in a blog post on her personal website.
“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on ‘ The Real Housewives of New York City .’ I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again,” Frankel wrote.
“After my talk show ended, I really had doubts about ever going back to television. I’ve been through a lot personally, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to expose myself to any more public scrutiny. That said, I’ve been so fortunate to be able to connect with the audience and inspire them to fulfill their wildest dreams. I learned a lot about myself through that experience. I really need to be able to express myself freely and creatively; I like when no two days are the same, and I don’t thrive when being filtered or edited.”
LuAnn de Lesseps and the Real Housewives of New York City cast are expected to return to Bravo for Season 7 later this year.
