Young Model Allegedly Stabbed Identical Twin Sister With Kitchen Knife Over Boyfriend

According to new reports in the British press today, a 22-year-old Croatian model allegedly stabbed her identical twin sister with a kitchen knife over a boyfriend that with whom they were both involved.

Sara Grkovic, who lived with her twin, Dajana and her mother in the northern Croatian port city of Rijeka, was reportedly jealous of her sister’s relationship with the man, and let her anger boil over when she stabbed her twin, leaving her critically wounded and fighting for her life.

A neighbor told the local TV station about the sisters,

“They were always immaculately groomed and polite, and as alike as two peas in a pod. I never knew which one was passing me in the corridor but they always said hello. They were apparently arguing about a man that they both liked. He seems to have settled down in a relationship with Dajana and Sara was not happy about it. I never would have thought it would come to her trying to kill her sister though.”

The neighbor added that even though she seldom saw the twins together, she sensed some jealousy between them, in terms of who was more attractive.

“Both of them were stunning, I don’t think they worried about competition from other women, but they were certainly jealous of each other,” she said.

The sister who was stabbed is currently in the intensive care ward at the local hospital with wounds to her chest and thigh. However, doctors said her condition is now somewhat stable.

The girls had apparently been left alone in their apartment after their mother went to Germany to find work, and as the twins’ father has nothing to do with them, he was not around to deal with the argument.

A family friend told the media, “They had been a bit wild since their mother went away, and they were left to their own devices. But we never thought it would come to something like this.”
