Sarah Hyland Devours Pizza On SAG Red Carpet

Sarah Hyland was caught devouring a slice of pizza while on the SAG Awards red carpet, reminding the world that celebrities are people too.

The Modern Family beauty was at the Screen Actors Guild Awards to celebrate the success of the hugely popular sitcom. According to UPI, Hyland turned up to the event wearing a beige and black dress.

However, this didn’t stop the 24-year-old from tucking into a slice of pizza. You can check an image of Hyland enjoying the food below.

The image was taken by Los Angeles Times staff writer Yvonne Villarreal. It’s still not known what made Sarah Hyland tuck into the pizza. Villarreal made the suggestion that Hyland was offered the slice so that she would stop and talk to the press. Which, if that is the case, proved to be one hell of an idea.

Despite the fact that she was pictured devouring the slice of pizza by a cavalcade of press, Sarah Hyland managed to still look hugely impressive and didn’t even manage to smudge her makeup.

Hyland was at the Screen Actors Guild Awards alongside the rest of the cast of Modern Family. Hyland and the sitcom’s cast, including Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, and Julie Bowen, were collectively nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

However, they ultimately lost the gong to Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. In fact, it was a rather disappointing night for everyone associated with Modern Family in the end. Julie Bowen was nominated for an Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series award, but she lost out to Orange is the New Black’s Uzo Aduba.

Meanwhile, both Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet were also nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. But they were beaten by William H. Macy’s performances in Shameless as Frank Gallagher.

Modern Family is currently in its sixth season, and it has already aired 132 episodes. Since it premiered on ABC in September 2009, Modern Family has garnered a devout audience and it still regularly draws in around 11.5 million viewers.
