Jenelle Evans’ Engagement Will Be Seen On ‘Teen Mom 2’ Season 6
Jenelle Evans’ engagement will be seen on the upcoming sixth season of Teen Mom 2. Earlier this week, while on vacation in St. Thomas, Evans’ boyfriend, Nathan Griffith, presented her with a diamond engagement ring while MTV cameras rolled.
As Reality Tea reported on January 7, MTV cameras were seen in the background of a photo posted during Evans and Griffith’s dinner, which happened just before Griffith proposed.
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this week, Jenelle Evans recently spoke out about her engagement, revealing how Griffith proposed in an interview with MTV’s blog.
“We went to a fancy restaurant, and we were just going out to have a nice dinner… Nathan’s brother came the day after [we did]. [We were like,] ‘Everyone is finally here — let’s just go out and have dinner,'” Evans explained to the site.
“[Nathan] just tapped his glass, stood up in front of the whole restaurant, and made this big speech… How he loves me, he wants to be with me for the rest of his life. And he’s really happy. And then he got down on one knee and proposed in front of everyone. I was completely shocked. I think I had an idea he would probably propose to me here, but I didn’t know when during the week he was gonna do it. And I didn’t know what was gonna happen or anything. So it was like expected, but unexpected.”
According to Reality Tea, Jenelle Evans was forced to defend her new fiancé shortly after she became engaged. Because Griffith is unemployed and supporting three children (his two children, Emery and Kaiser, as well as Evans’ oldest son Jace), fans wondered how he could have paid for the ring, which reportedly caused around $4,000. Many fans even accused Griffith of making Evans pay for the diamond, or getting it free from MTV for letting them film the proposal.
In response to the backlash, Evans set the record straight on Twitter.
“The ring was far from free lmao Nathan saved his money and bought everyone a trip to St. Thomas.”
Either way, Evans was thrilled with her ring and told MTV, “He did a perfect job… We went looking for a month, and then he went looking for four months, because he was so indecisive. He showed all of his friends. He showed everyone the ring, but he would never let me see it.”
Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith have yet to announce when they plan to wed.
