‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Jenelle Evans Dishes On Engagement, Nathan Griffith’s Proposal

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has opened up about her engagement. In a new interview, the reality star spoke of her now-fiancé, Nathan Griffith’s, romantic proposal, which happened while the couple was on vacation.

Evans told MTV’s Remote Control blog the following shortly after Griffith’s St. Thomas proposal.

“We went to a fancy restaurant, and we were just going out to have a nice dinner… Nathan’s brother came the day after [we did]. [We were like,] ‘Everyone is finally here — let’s just go out and have dinner.'”

After dinner, the Teen Mom 2 couple became engaged.

“[Nathan] just tapped his glass, stood up in front of the whole restaurant, and made this big speech… How he loves me, he wants to be with me for the rest of his life. And he’s really happy. And then he got down on one knee and proposed in front of everyone.”

According to Evans, the proposal came as a complete shock, despite her and Griffith having been shopping for engagement rings for four months prior.

“I was completely shocked. I think I had an idea he would probably propose to me here, but I didn’t know when during the week he was gonna do it. And I didn’t know what was gonna happen or anything. So it was like expected, but unexpected.”

As for the ring, the Teen Mom 2 star couldn’t be happier.

“He did a perfect job… We went looking for a month, and then he went looking for four months, because he was so indecisive. He showed all of his friends. He showed everyone the ring, but he would never let me see it.”

Now, Evans and Griffith are enjoying the rest of their time in St. Thomas.

“We’re just gonna celebrate for the next few days, stress-free.”

As the Inquisitr reported, Evans became engaged on January 6, and debuted the first photo of her engagement ring on Instagram a short time later.

“Oh man! Someone’s engaged,” read the caption of her Instagram photo.

Evans and Griffith began dating in June 2013 after meeting on a dating app. Weeks later, they moved in together, and in December of that same year, they announced they were expecting their first child (Evans is also mom to Jace, 5, and Griffith has a 3-year-old daughter).

Teen Mom 2 is expected to return to MTV later this year. No word yet on whether or not Griffith’s proposal was caught on camera.
