Here’s What Happened To That Kid That Went On A Dollar Store Rampage
The internet was shocked and amused yesterday when footage went viral showing an angry young man destroying literally dozens of dollars worth of merchandise at his local Dollar General. What people didn’t see, though, is what happened next.
“Where are his parents?” was a constant refrain as the video of this cheeky little “Jit going HAM” — that is, “young fool going wild,” for the uninitiated among us — in the Dollar General swept across the interwubs. Nobody, it seemed, could or would stop the little guy as he took out his considerable anger and disappointment on aisle after aisle of Dollar Store merchandise.
What set the little man off? Was he mad about getting the wrong iPhone for Christmas? Does he just harbor an irrational hatred of low-cost cereals, toiletries, and household goods? Is he just blowing off steam knowing that there’s still a year to go before the next Star Wars movie? Who knows? What we do know is that there’s only one thing that was able to stop him, and that was the blind-side bum rush from one concerned shopper.
The initial video, though, ended too soon, with the kid just being hauled out of the Dollar General by a bystander who had stood by long enough. Another video taken shortly after shows the aftermath. It appears the young sir was held at knee-point until presumably the authorities, or his parents — or both — showed up.
