Hayden Panettiere Talks About How Pregnancy Changed Her Body: ‘I’m Still Limping Around’

Hayden Panettiere will no doubt make a great mother, but as she settled into motherhood, in all its sleepless glory, the Nashville starlet was overjoyed to enjoy her first full night’s sleep in weeks, thanks to her future mother-in-law, fiancé Wladimir Klitschko’s mom.

As Hayden told People magazine yesterday, “Wlad’s mom was desperate to take the baby for a night. She looks like she didn’t get much sleep, but I feel well-rested!”

In speaking to the publication about the trials and tribulations she has faced since becoming a mom, Hayden Panettiere shared what effect pregnancy had on her body.

“I’m limping around. I’m still trying to figure out what [pregnancy] has done to my body, how it’s changed it. What’s temporary and what’s permanent. I feel like an 80-year-old woman trying to go down the stairs, you know — please tell me this is temporary! But I know some things will never be the same again.”

For Hayden, adjusting to life as a new mom has been an experience, to say the least, saying it was “such a surreal experience and so out of body. You’re suddenly looking at this little thing like, ‘Oh, that was you in my belly this whole time.’ [We’re] just getting to know her.”

Apart from her unique name, the baby, Kaya Evdokia, also apparently has more than just a healthy appetite, an appetite Hayden Panettiere described as “insatiable.”

As Hayden concluded, “She’s really so sweet. I’m sure that’s the way it’s meant to be, because when they are putting you through the wringer you’re like, ‘You are so lucky you’re cute!'”

While being a new mom is clearly challenging for Hayden, there’s no question that she is rising to the demands of motherhood nicely and loves baby Kaya very much.

Whether she will be able to do the right thing and focus on bringing her up without focusing too much on her career remains to be seen, as so many Hollywood celebs struggle to successfully juggle their busy careers with being good parents.
