It appears there was even more video footage captured on hotel security cameras that show the aftermath of the Ray Rice and Janay Palmer elevator incident.
The video, secured by ABC News, shows the couple just after the incident took place. ABC reports that there was over 45 minutes of additional footage that had not been shown to the public. In part of the footage, which you see here, Janay is seen separated from Ray. Hotel security is standing around her as they wait for police assistance.
Ray can be seen sitting in a chair in handcuffs as another individual reaches into his pocket to get out his cellphone. Police end up handcuffing both Janay and Ray Rice, and charging them with one count of assault each. However, the charge against Janay were later dropped.
ABC notes that in the 45 minutes of footage, Janay's disposition changes drastically as time moves on. Directly after the encounter, she appears "angry." Mid-way through, she begins to cry and seems emotionally distraught. Finally, and what to many is the most shocking following such a brutal attack, Janay can be seen kissing Ray Rice in the elevator as they are being taken to the police station.
In the video footage, you can see police escorting both Ray and Janay separately to the elevator. Janay is crying as they enter the elevator, but as the police place the hand-cuffed pair next to each other, the two begin to kiss, handcuffs and all.
What do you think of the new video footage of the aftermath of the Ray Rice elevator incident?
