Kaley Cuoco Sweeting gave her fans, and her adorable pooch Shirley, an Instagram treat on Wednesday, sharing an intimate selfie from under the covers of her bed where she was snuggled with the lovable dog, who appears in the photo to be snoozing happily.
The Big Bang Theory star captioned the photo very simply, writing, “Shirley’s favorite spot is under our comforter.”
The new Instagram shot is not the first time Kaley Cuoco Sweeting, who will mark the one-year anniversary of her marriage to pro tennis player Ryan Sweeting on New Year’s Eve, has posed for an Instagram photo with a pet pooch. In fact, the Wednesday shot was the third time in less than a week that the star paid tribute to a dog on the social media photo-sharing site.
On Sunday she posted this photograph with her other pet dog, Norman.
And the day before that, Cuoco Sweeting posted this adorable Instagram shot.
The 29-year-old actress, who receives $1 million per episode for her role on The Big Bang Theory, appears to spend much of her down time in the company of her pets. She spent most of Sunday on a downtown Los Angeles set in the company of former Star Trek Captain Kirk, William Shatner, as they filmed Shatner’s latest commercial for the online discount travel site, Priceline.
Shatner was the first TV pitchman for Priceline, starting in 1997 and creating a role for which, at this point, he may be almost as well known as for portraying Captain James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek TV series, which aired from 1966 to 1969, and in seven big screen blockbuster feature films.
But at age 83, Shatner may be slipping in his ability to connect with the younger consumer coveted by all advertisers, including Priceline. So in January of 2013, Kaley Cuoco was hired to appear in Priceline commercials in the role of Shatner’s daughter.
At the time, Cuoco Sweeting said that working with Shatner came naturally, because Star Trek was associated with the same “nerdy stuff” as The Big Bang Theory.
She also has an upcoming movie role alongside comedians Kevin Hart and Josh Gad in the 2015 movie The Wedding Ringer, in which she portrays Gad’s fiancé.
Between now and then, however, Cuoco Sweeting fans, as well as her fellow dog lovers, are certain to see many more selfies posted on her Instagram account with one pooch or another.
