Leah Messer: Is She Seeking Attention?
To say that Leah Messer is going through some drama right now is putting it lightly. The Teen Mom 2 star is dealing with public accusations that she cheated on her husband, Jeremy Calvert, and a recent article published by Radar Online reveals that Leah’s husband has allegedly been telling other girls that he is divorced. Now the reality show star has declined to appear on MTV for a sixth season of the show that made her famous, and revealed via Twitter that she isn’t seeking attention.
“Seeking attention gets us no where. Make yourselves better than others and stand above the odds.”
This is the first that Leah Messer has spoken out since the shocking text messages between her husband and another woman hit the web. While the other woman has claimed that she did not sell the story for attention, she continues to speak out on Twitter to people who tweet her about the incident. In regards to Leah’s tweet about attention, it is unclear if she was referring to not signing up for another season of TM2 or if she was referring to something totally different.
Interestingly, according to a separate Radar Online report, a source revealed that being in the spotlight may not have been the best thing for Leah and her family. While there is no doubt it helped them share their story with the world and could have potentially changed some views on teen pregnancy, being in the spotlight was not always a good thing.
“For the first time, she’s admitting that money and the spotlight of fame made her do some things that she regrets. She’s determined to get the help she needs and come out of this a new and better person.”
While Jeremy Calvert may be telling women that he is divorced, the Inquisitr reports that he may not be ready to file just yet. Despite the drama going on in their lives, now on both sides, Jeremy’s family isn’t too keen on him giving up on his family. This may be why Leah Messer has maintained a positive attitude throughout the entire ordeal. Rather than address anything head on, she has stayed quiet for the most part, only making brief appearances on Twitter to squash rumors (she isn’t pregnant with Robbie Kidd’s child).
By choosing to stay out of the spotlight and not seek attention whether it is from Twitter or reality television, Leah Messer is probably making a good choice.
