Kim Kardashian might appear to reign as the queen of self-confidence. An adorable baby, a devoted husband, and an ever-growing fashion and business empire combine to make her life look effortlessly extraordinary. But Kardashian is now confessing that she suffered from episodes of low self-esteem, exacerbated when she had problems becoming pregnant, reported Us Weekly.
So what turned her into the rich, famous, and fabulously dressed diva of today? Kim credits her first child as well as the high fat low carb ketogenic Atkins diet for restoring her pride in herself and in her body. Little North West is now more than a year old, and Kardashian is already dreaming of more children.
“I want a boy and another girl; I want it to start happening straightaway. I loved being part of a huge family – and I want that for North. We’d do [In vitro fertilization] if nothing happens, but we both want to keep trying naturally.”
She also revealed that her father, Robert Kardashian, comforted her when she was only 13 years old with a loving letter that helped lift her cloud of depression.
“It’s taken me a long time to be happy with my body and for my confidence to grow to what it is today. I grew up when the body to have was the tall, slim, supermodel one, like Cindy Crawford’s. No one looked like me,” admits Kim now.
It’s good to break the mold and recreate one. I’m an Armenian girl, I have shape, and it turned out people liked that. That makes me feel good about myself and about other women for being so supportive. I am a confident woman, but I didn’t just arrive confident – it has built over the years and that is a big part of who I am now.
To lose her post-pregnancy pounds, Kardashian chose the high fat low carb Atkins diet, as the Inquisitr reported. The weight loss program is designed to put the body into nutritional ketosis with generous amounts of fat, moderate amounts of protein, and limited carbohydrates in the form of non-starchy vegetables.
Kim initially shared her weight loss success with Jay Leno. At that time, she had lost 50 pounds (below).
But Kardashian was determined to lose more weight while maintaining her famous curves, reveals Hollywood Life. As a result, Kim has now lost a total of 70 pounds. She used Twitter to express her appreciation for the Atkins diet in response to a fan’s question.

And now that Kim can flaunt her favorite fashions with her newly slim silhouette, she’s delighted to share her love of designer attire with baby North West.
Kardashian has embraced the joys of showing off baby North West in designer attire, reports Yahoo Style. Like mom, like daughter? North reportedly loves dressing up in Mommy-and-me clothes.
At not even two, the toddler has visited Paris Fashion Week and posed placidly for Vogue. Kim and North even wore matching lacy black ensembles at the Paris Givenchy fashion show.
