Bill Cosby Breaks His Silence To Address Supporters Publicly
Bill Cosby has decided to break his silence about the rape allegations to tweet out a few words to his supporters such as The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg and soul singer Jill Scott.
He tweeted both stars separately to personally thank them but didn’t give an additional statement in regards to the very public allegations that are infringing on his legacy.
Thank you @WhoopiGoldberg.

Although Cosby has been a name featured on several Hot Topic segments on The View, Goldberg has always stood by him and turned the other cheek while her panelists discussed the rape allegations that have come forward.
“Perhaps the police might have believed [the allegation], or the hospital. Don’t you do a kit when you say someone has raped you? … I hope somebody gets to the bottom of this, but I’m going to reserve my judgment because I have a lot of questions, as I said. It’s crazy, but I have a lot of questions, because I know we all have friends who have gone through this.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Jill Scott took several people up to task in defense of her retweet. It started when Scott retweeted the following, “All I can think of reading all this is the parents confessing they lied bout their child being abused by Michael. [Time] will tell.”
After that, Scott was met with twitter users who vehemently disagreed with her stance on Bill Cosby.
@JasBaileyTweets @SimplyBerry @curlyheadRED that’s silly. If this was ur father, would u be so quick to decide?

@JasBaileyTweets @SimplyBerry @curlyheadRED I’m not dismissing. I’m just not quick to scorn a man who’s inspired sincere good. — ?Jill Scott? (@missjillscott) December 1, 2014
@JasBaileyTweets hurt? By an opinion? I’ve been a solider on many levels for women. I know rape but I’m also aware of propaganda.

@JasBaileyTweets sides with Mr. Cosby? No. I side with substantiated proof when media/society is attempting to destroy a magnificent Legacy — ?Jill Scott? (@missjillscott) December 1, 2014
We will respectfully have to agree to disagree.

Afterward Scott made a public service announcement to rape victims.
Rape is a despicable, cowardly crime. If you’ve been raped- plz do NOT shower, go to police IMMEDIATELY, have a rap kit done. GET EVIDENCE. — ?Jill Scott? (@missjillscott) December 1, 2014
What do you think of Bill Cosby’s momentary break of silence to address his supporters?
