Mariah Yeater’s Lawyer: There is Credible Evidence That Justin Bieber is the Father

Justin Bieber is currently facing a paternity lawsuit from 20-year-old fan Mariah Yeater. Bieber, and his lawyers, say that the lawsuit is ridiculous but Yeater’s legal team insists that there is credible evidence that Bieber fathered Yeater’s baby.

So is Mariah Yeater (you can see photos of Yeater here) just an attention seeking woman who wants to get her hands on Bieber’s millions? According to her lawyers, Yeater doesn’t want the spotlight or an unreasonable amount of money. Lance Rogers and Matthew Pare, who are representing Yeater, said that she is only asking for a modest sum for child support.

Roger and Pare said in a statement:

“(She) is pursuing a modest and rightful claim. There is credible evidence that Justin Bieber is in fact the father of her baby. We call upon Justin Bieber and his attorneys to reach out to resolve this issue in a reasonable manner.”

According to the Telegraph, a court date has been set for December 15th. Rogers and Pare are calling for Bieber to take a paternity test to prove that he is or isn’t the father.

A spokesman for Bieber said that the singer was aware of the claims, but no one was presented a lawsuit yet. The spokesman said:

“While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims. We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”

As for Bieber, he took to Twitter to calm his 13 million Beliebers. Justin said:

“All the rumors…the gossip….Im gonna focus on the positives….the music.”

Proving that Justin Bieber is the father of her baby could be a bit of a double edged sword for Yeater. If Yeater’s claims are true, than the two had sex when Yeater was 19 and Bieber was 16. According to the Telegraph, this could lead to a statutory rape charge.

That is, of course, if Yeater even makes it to the trial. Millions of Bieber fans have flocked to Twitter to threaten Yeater. One writes:

“Roses are red, violets are blue mariah yeater we are gunna kill you.”
