The Walking Dead Season 5 is only one episode in, but fans are already hooked again. This could be the most intense season ever, as the gang has already proven themselves smarter and stronger after escaping from Terminus.
According to Wet Paint, Season 5 of The Walking Dead is going to have more than one intense episode, and show execs are warning fans to buckle up for some "devastating episodes" to come.
Both show runner Scott Gimple and creator Robert Kirkman confirmed at New York Comic Con that there is sure to be an array of emotions in Season 5, and that Talking Dead host Chris Hardwicke may have to play therapist to some stunned viewers after the episodes air Sundays on AMC.
Upon hearing about The Walking Dead's Season 5 emotional roller coaster, fans immediately began to speculate that the devastating episodes will come as characters say their final goodbyes.
The Walking Dead viewers have come to know that the show's mantra is "no one is safe," and it's true. The hit zombie series has killed of crucial characters such as Shane, Lori, and Hershel in the past, but fans really want to know who's next, and are worried that Steven Yeun's character, Glenn Rhee, will bite the dust in Season 5.
When Season 5 started filming last spring, rumors went wild that Yeun's character, Glenn, would be killed, and since he's already dead in the comic book series, fans are seriously worried they'll have to watch Glenn die, and/or say goodbye to his love, Maggie, this season.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Steven Yeun revealed his thoughts on all The Walking Dead character death speculation, which he believes takes away from the rest of the show.
"I don't particularly want to subscribe to the idea that this show can kill off anybody it wants. Yes, it can. Yes, that's a thing. That's definitely a thing. But I think that's not the point of the show. 'Game of Thrones' kills people left and right and yet that's not the point of the show."
It's safe to say that The Walking Dead cast know that their characters could die at any time, and have to be prepared for the possibility of filming a death scene, but it's the fans who really take the deaths hard, and continue to be amazing, shocked, and sucked in to the series, which is just one of the many reasons it's so wildly popular.
Meanwhile, as previously reported by The Inquisitr, the character of Morgan is also back on the series, and fans are wondering what kind of story line he'll bring to the show, as his life could also be in jeopardy.
