Inside Kim Kardashian’s Workout With Kanye West And Her Atkins Low Carb Diet [Video]

After working out solo with her celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak for years, Kim Kardashian has a new workout partner. And it’s her new husband, Kanye West, who helps her stay motivated and engaged in the rough routine, revealed Showbiz Spy.

Harley describes Kanye and Kim as “best friends.” And when it comes to avoiding boredom, the two never seem to run out of topics.

“I have him doing chest stuff and I have him doing inner thigh stuff,” said Pasternak. “They are talking about North West, or architecture, or fashion or whatever.”

As shown in the video, Kim is delighted that her husband is such a fond father, doting on the little girl.

However, Kardashian likes variety when it comes to working out, and Harley noted that she doesn’t always exercise with her husband.

“[Kim] has to be in the right frame of mind for them to work out together.”

After training Kardashian that day, Pasternak praised his client for her drive.

“Today, Kim said she was ready to push it a little bit further,” Harley commented. “She works hard and doesn’t overdo it and has a great balance.”

When it comes to Kim Kardashian’s fitness, Pasternak takes pride in her famous derriere.

I throw her on the Helix Lateral Trainer, which is great because it focuses on the butt and hips. We did some hip thrusts and reverse lunges and stiff leg deadlifts. It really tones and tighten the whole thigh and butt area.

However, Kim doesn’t limit herself to her backside.

“There is no part of her body where she thinks, ‘This part of my body cannot be improved upon’ — As a result we train everything,” said Harley.

As the Inquisitr pointed out, Kim Kardashian also has been faithful to following her low-carb diet since giving birth to North West. She follows the Atkins weight loss program, which is a high fat ketogenic diet designed to boost fat-burning.

The Atkins diet requires eliminating starchy carbohydrates such as bread, cereal and pasta, while eating protein, healthy fats and non-starchy vegetables. Kim has admitted that cutting carbs is especially challenging for her.

However, prior to her wedding, Kim was determined to look fabulous in her fashionista gown. As a result, she was especially strict about her low-carb diet, revealed OK magazine.

Kim ate lean protein and green vegetables, even cutting alcohol from her life.

“Her assistant has a bag of celery sticks with her at all times,” said a source. “She doesn’t really drink, but she likes a glass of red wine with dinner and coffee in the morning, but her Atkins mania won’t allow her those anymore. She won’t even have a sip.”

Thus far, Kardashian has lost more than 50 pounds. And if she sticks to her Atkins diet, she can accelerate her weight loss, says one expert.

“Atkins is not a 1,200-calorie diet that leaves you hungry,” said Colette Heimowitz, author of The New Atkins Made Easy. “People have reported losing up to 10 pounds in two weeks. Some could lose up to 14 pounds in two weeks.”
