[Video] Dog Interrupts Soccer Match, Immediately Greeted With Tummy Rub

Normally when a streaker invades the field, they are usually met with a barrage of abuse from the stewards and players alike. However, this adorable black Labrador stole the spotlight in an Argentine soccer match between Belgrano and Quilmes.

The black dog somehow made its way on the field to the surprise of the South American soccer players. The situation immediately became a hallmark moment when a Quilmes player, Sebastián Romero, decided to calm the excited dog down with a series of tummy rubs.

The dog, now in dreamland, was then gently escorted off the field when Quilmes midfielder, Jonathan Zaccaria, decided to escort the dog off in order to get the game started again. However, his team-mate and most likely cat-lover, Joel Carli, was unimpressed with the whole ordeal, barking at Zaccaria for not moving fast enough while he escorted the dog of the field.

The black Labrador was soon passed off to a stadium official, where even the assistant referee became smitten to the dog’s charm as he attempted to pet the “man” of the match.

Perhaps this will get more Americans excited about soccer again following the hangover from the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. But it just goes to show that no matter what you are doing, you are never too busy to pet a dog.
