Desiree Hartsock Says Romance With Chris Feels Like High School Sweethearts
Desiree Hartsock may have hoped to find love with Brooks Forester while filming The Bachelorette, but when he walked out, she was devastated. Many felt that she didn’t have the same connection with the remaining contestants, and Desiree herself even questioned whether the journey was worth it. But in the end, she picked Christ Siegfried and the two have been living happily in Seattle ever since.
Many felt that Desiree Hartsock made the wrong decision in picking Chris, since she was so heartbroken over Brooks’ decision to walk out of The Bachelorette. But Chris and Desiree proved everyone wrong. They have been engaged since the show ended, and they have been busy planning their wedding.
According to a Wetpaint Entertainment report, Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock reveals that her romance to Chris still gives her butterflies. Her romance with him reminds her of a relationship you would have with your high school sweetheart.
“When we spent time on a boat during the show, everything was as normal as it could be. We could actually see that our relationship was what it would be outside of the show,” Desiree Hartsock reveals, adding that their relationship on the show could easily work at home in Seattle.
“That’s one of the things that first drew us to each other, that we could see ourselves dating outside the show. We were in Spain sitting on the bed, and it just totally felt like we were high school sweethearts,” Desiree adds.
Many people are waiting for the couple to announce their wedding date. According to The Inquisitr, Desiree Hartsock and Chris had plans of getting married soon, but their busy schedules have simply made it impossible for them to plan anything.
“We wanted to get married this year, but this whole year has been so busy with other people’s weddings,” Desiree has revealed of the couple’s plans.
But this doesn’t mean that they are putting the wedding on hold completely. Hartsock has been working on her own wedding dress design, something that she does for a living. She doesn’t want someone else to design her dress for her. Desiree admits to having two dresses for her big day – one for the nuptials and one for the reception.
It is still unknown whether the wedding will be televised. ABC has yet to announce anything, and Desiree seems very private about the entire affair. A new date may have been set for the wedding, but the couple is not saying anything.
