In a bit of a shocking story, it is being rumored that WWE’s resident Deadman, The Undertaker, is said to be in bad health. Many knew that he was not doing well after his match with Brock Lesnar earlier in the year at WWE’s WrestleMania 30, but he was not in a bad condition. In fact, according to recent pictures, The Undertaker looked pretty good for a guy who seemed to be retired from his role in WWE.
Where did the rumor start? Well, you’d be surprised.
It all started with rock band Limp Bizkit as front man Fred Durst was reported to have said,
“This next song goes out to our friend Mark Calaway, The Undertaker. He’s not doing real well right now and we want all our fans to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.”
The band then played the old Undertaker theme, “Rollin.” Durst and Limp Bizkit did this theme for The Undertaker during his biker gimmick years back. They have performed it on WWE programming as well.
Before many people decide to dismiss what Durst claimed, he did create the theme for Taker and has been a wrestling fan for some time. This may be a good indication that he probably keeps in touch with The Phenom. Undertaker was said to not be doing all that well in recovery for a potential return, but as far as health in life goes, there was no story regarding him doing badly. Durst and Undertaker are friends, but he did not go into detail regarding what he said, so many people were left wondering.
Many feel that Undertaker’s injuries have piled up, and he is now officially done with Pro-Wrestling. However, it is said he is getting ready to start acting, and we might see him make random appearances for WWE in a non-wrestling capacity. There has been nothing regarding him being in bad health until now.
Many wonder if we will see him come back to give us the dream match that we all want, Undertaker vs Sting. Sting has finally made his way to WWE, and it is about time we see the match. Sadly, if Taker is unable to do it, then we basically have to understand that the dream match simply cannot happen.
That does not mean we will never see Sting wrestle. It simply means that Undertaker is done with WWE. So at least there is some good news in all of this.
Is The Undertaker really in bad health? At least one public figure close to him says yes. Sadly, until we’re told different, we have to take this with some truth attached. Still, we also should take it with a grain of salt. Nothing has come out from Undertaker himself or even WWE for that matter. If WWE doesn’t even say something in passing on RAW or on WWE.com about the health of one of their biggest stars, it is doubtful anything is really wrong. So take this as only a rumor for now. Stay tuned for more as we know it.
