Demi Lovato Thanks Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, For Helping Her Through Tough Times

Demi Lovato is back on the Billboard charts with her new album, “Unbroken,” and the former Disney star knows that she wouldn’t be there without the help of her friends and family.

Lovato, who spent part of last year in treatment, thanked Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez for helping her get through those tough times.

Lovato told Billboard:

“I feel like there are some people that you’re friends with that talk to you on Twitter or you text, but the people that are really there for me are the people that were there for me when I went into treatment. The people that were calling me while I was in there were Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez. Those two girls, they meant the world to me. They still do.”

Lovato’s third album, “Unbroken,” made its debut on the Billboard charts at No. 4 after selling 96,000 copies. Lovato’s 2009 album “Don’t Forget” debuted at No. 2, while “Here We Go Again” topped the chart that same year.

“Unbroken” is Lovato’s first album since seeking treatment in 2010 to overcome eating and self-injury issues. Lovato said that her experience in rehab helped her shape the new album.

Lovato said:

“This one is a little different. I took a long time on this album, and I’ve been on such a journey over the past year that it just feels awesome to be able to release music that I’ve worked really hard on, and now that it’s done well [on the chart] it feels even better.”
